Samarinda, 25 January 2023 — On Wednesday, 25 January 2023, the Regional Office for Language in East Kalimantan Province received the East Kalimantan Commissariat of Indonesian Literary Scholars Association (HISKI) visit.

It aimed to take coordination meetings for the International Literature Conference (KIK) and the 2023 HISKI National Meeting (Munas). It was attended by the East Kalimantan Commissariat of HISKI board and staff of the Regional Office for Language in East Kalimantan Province.

“We welcome the presence of the East Kalimantan Commissariat of HISKI board at our Office. Regarding the 2023 HISKI program on KIK and National Meeting, we will assist according to our capacity and function,” said Halimi Hadibrata, Head of the Regional Office for Language in East Kalimantan Province, in his remarks.

Dr. Yusak Hudiyono, M.Pd. The Chief of HISKI East Kalimantan Commissariat explained that HISKI East Kalimantan Commissariat had been appointed as the host for KIK and HISKI National Meeting in 2023. To succeed, HISKI really hoped for the contribution of staff, thoughts, and funding.

The appointment of East Kalimantan as the host of the 2023 KIK and HISKI National Meeting connected with East Kalimantan as the location for the State Capital City (IKN). Therefore, Prof. Dr. Susilo, M.Pd. The chair of the 2023 HISKI National Meeting Committee defined the 2023 KIK and HISKI National Meeting theme as Digitalization of Nusantara Literature for the Global Human Resources Preparation in IKN Nusantara. This activity will be held from 10 to 12 November 2023 in Balikpapan. At that meeting,  several main points were formulated to execute KIK and HISKI National Meeting in 2023.

“We hope the 2023 KIK and HISKI National Meeting successfully run with the support of all parties in East Kalimantan, including universities, the Language Office, and the regional government,” concluded Susilo.
